Escape the cold at these Top 10 U.S. Beaches

As the cold weather starts to settle in, folks begin daydreaming about long weekends or a Vacay full of warm sunshine and soft-sand beaches in some remote paradise. Then the fact of actually getting there kicks in with the financial outlay, the time commitment, the effort and waste of precious hours waiting in an immigration line.

Thankfully, there are lots of gorgeous U.S. beaches that are excellent for a last-minute escape from the cold. So perfect, in fact, you may forget you’re still in the country. However one Tampa Bay beach can boast of a new accolade: Best Beach within the united states, according to TripAdvisor’s 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards.

Which gorgeous stretch of sunshine state sand won top honors? Clearwater Beach, an idyllic paradise on the Gulf of Mexico that averages 361 days of sun a year won top honors. Running close behind in second place was Florida’s Siesta Beach, followed by Ka’anapali Beach in Maui in third place. To determine the rankings, TripAdvisor looked at the quantity of reviews and ratings for beaches round the world, together with the quality of traveler reviews.
